DLFLSP2R

The DLFLSP2R is a fluorescent beam splitter that transmits two wavelengths of light simultaneously to two cameras.

Main Features

  • Split fluorescent light into two different wavelengths to two separate cameras
  • Easily overlay images of two different wavelengths
  • Can be used as an epi-fluorescence filter unit for single wavelength fluorescence imaging.

Applications

  • Simultaneous imaging of biological preparations stained with both a calcium indicator and a voltage-sensitive dye
  • Fluorescent ratiometric imaging using calcium indicators or voltage-sensitive dyes

Features

The DLFLSP2R can be with or without Brainvision's tandem-lens macroscope (see Fig.1 and 2). Both configurations adopt the tandem-lens style which includes Leica PLAN APO lenses, wide optical pathway, and large custom-made fluorescence filter cubes. These systems are ideal for detecting very small signals which are typical in membrane voltage imaging.

The DLFLSP2R splits fluorescent light emitted from a biological preparation into two different wavelengths to two separate cameras, with the use of a large, custom-made dichroic mirror. The dichroic mirror uses a kinetic mount with straightforward shift and tilt adjustment knobs which allows users to easily overlay images of two different wavelengths.

An excitation light source light guide can be connected to the side of the DLFLSP2R with the use of an adaptor (fig.3). In this way, the DLFLSP2R can be used as an epi-fluorescence filter unit for single wavelength fluorescence imaging.

THT Mesoscope

The THT is a fluorescence widefield mesoscope developed for detecting low light fluorescence that is emitted from biological sample at a low magnicifation. This mesoscope has a very simple optical path combining two large-diameter objective lenses and a custom-made large fluorescent filter.
