The LinearSlicerTM
Pro 7 is
an instrument to cut tissue slices from animal or plant tissues (fresh
or chemically fixed) without freezing them.
In the research fields of bioscience such as physiology,
neuroscience and pharmacology, experiments are often conducted using
fresh tissue slices. For example,
fresh tissue slices from various parts of the brain are often used in
the slice-patch method, blind-patch method, slice culture method and for
determination of calcium, etc.
@
The success in such
experiments often depends on the quality of tissue slices, such as
constancy of the thickness of tissue slices and integrity of
preservation of nerve structures in tissue slices.
In the case of conventional tissue slicers, it was not always
easy to obtain high quality tissue slices because these instruments
often show significant loss of performance after long-term use.
@
The LinearSlicerTM
Pro 7 has
overcome various difficulties in slicing fresh tissues by equipping with a linear
motor system in the blade-shuttling mechanism.
It has overcome the loss of performance after long-term use by
removing all the wearing parts from the blade-shuttling mechanism.
The
LinearSlicerTM Pro
7 promises
every researcher to obtain high-quality fresh tissue slices with minimum
damage to live cells.
